Shiv Khori Holy Cave Reasi

.
Shiv Khori Holy Cave Reasi
Khori means cave (Guffa) and Shiv Khori thus denotes Shiva's cave. Shiv-khori-the Holy Cave abode of Lord Shiva is situated at a distance of 70 Kms from Katra. This natural cave is about 200 metres long and contains a self made 4 feet high lingam at the heart of Sanctum Sanctorum. The cave is in the shape of Lord Shiva's Damroo i.e. wide at the two ends while very congested at the center. The width of the cave is so less at certain places that a person can barely crawl through whereas at places it is over a hundred feet wide and quite high too.. It is one of the most venerated cave shrines of Lord Shiva in the region. Svayambhu Lingum, gets constantly bathed in a milky lime fluid dripping from the ceiling, symbolising the eternity of the holy river Ganga The cave is full of natural impression & images of various Hindu Deities & full of divine feelings
